On Thursday, June 12 (the same day as Cruz Roja Mexicana Voluntarios General Meeting, 10:00 a.m. at the hospital) -- Cruz Roja will be issuing Medical ID Cards. When you get a card, your information is entered into a national database. Then, if you need medical attention anywhere in Mexico , your information is immediately available.
To get your Medical ID Card:
· you need to be a Cruz Roja member (yes, you need to show your membership card)
· you'll have your picture taken (another Kodak moment)
· you will have to know your blood type and list any allergies; and
· you'll pay $6.00 USD
